Steven’s Obituary Steven Lawrence Rivera II, 33, of Sneads Ferry, died Sunday, January 12, 2020. He was born August 22, 1986, in Salinas, CA, to Steven Rivera and Karen Windsor. Steven was a paramedic at New Hanover Regional Medical Center and previously worked in Pender County EMS. He was a Marine for 10 years and honorably discharged with combat tours to Afghanistan. He was a man of few words, always spoken with sincerity. He lived for his daughter and his profession. He lived to help the people who couldn’t help themselves. He lived to honor his brothers and sisters in Uniform. A genuine leader, with unquestionable integrity. A man that loved so deep the ocean would be jealous. “My dad did not tell many jokes, but he did they were pretty funny to me anyway.” – Isabel Marie “ Mija ” Rivera Survivors include his wife, Britany Rivera; daughter, Isabel Rivera; dad, Steven Rivera (Rosie); mom, Karen Windsor; sisters, Kathy Rivera and Cindy Rivera and brother, David Rivera. A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Monday, January 20, 2020, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel, 17730 Hwy 17 N., Hampstead, NC.
