Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch Mrs. Sheryl Lee Manis, 70, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – Desoto in Southaven, MS. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., at Central Church (7100 Getwell Rd., Southaven, MS 38672). Pastor Anders Lee will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Olive Branch is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Manis was born in Aberdeen, MS. She served as a former officer in the Southaven Jaycettes. Mrs. Manis enjoyed cross-stitching, gardening, and being outdoors when she could. She was also an avid reader. Mrs. Manis was known to be an amazing mother, wife, and grandmother. She was very passionate about supporting and spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Manis is survived by her husband, Johnny M. Manis of Southaven; three daughters, Mary Jane (Danny) Nailen of Byhalia, MS, Jenny (Lee) Patton of Allen, TX, and Nichole (Brandon) Thomas of Southaven; ten grandchildren, Nicole (Emmanuel) Bernal of Germantown, TN, Katherine (Matthew) Randall of Memphis, TN, Owen Thomas of Southaven, Emma Patton of Allen, Ian Thomas of Southaven, Allie Patton of Allen, Anna Reese Thomas of Southaven, Erin Patton of Allen, and Saylor Payne and Davis Payne, both of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, Bub (Brenda) Brannan of Oxford, MS; one sister, Michele (Danny) Adams of Oxford; one niece, Cheley (Dustin) Payne of Pontotoc; and 4 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Manis was preceded in death by her parents, Burney Brannon and Shirley Jean Lee Brannan; and one nephew, Richard “Ritchey” Brannan.
