Obituary of Ronald Roy Nealen, Sr. NEALEN – Ronald Roy, Sr. “Mr. Nice Guy”, 76, of Mundys Corner, passed away Jan. 12, 2020 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born Oct. 16, 1943 in Mundys Corner, son of the late Vincent and Inez (Toner) Nealen. Preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. Survived by wife, Connie, of 53 years; and children, Christina (Kevin) Grove; Ron, Jr. (Jennifer) Nealen; and Kimmie (Bill) Thomas. 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Also survived by two brothers and three sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. Member of Jackson Twp. Hunting Club. US Army veteran during Vietnam War. 4-H Leader for 10 years. Steel hauler for Birk Transfer for nearly 20 years. Ron enjoyed cooking and was famous for his homemade soups and also his famous hot sausages at C & R’s Kitchen annually at the Cambria County Fair for over 20 years. He loved mowing his grass, fishing and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Andrew Draper, celebrant. Military Rite by Nanty Glo, Twin Rocks and Vintondale Area Veterans Ritual Team.
