Obituary Ronald Eugene Smith age 71, of Desoto, Kansas passed away peacefully on January 7, 2020 at Kansas City Hospice House. Ron was born June 22, 1948, to Frank and Hazel Shaw Smith, in Topeka, Kansas. He was baptized in the Southwest Baptist church at the age of 15. He attained the rank of an Eagle Scout. Ron graduated from Topeka West High School with the class of 1967 and completed his junior year of college.
