Obituary Richard Albert Fletcher was born on August 17, 1948 in Steubenville Ohio and passed away on Wednesday January 8, at the Allegheny General Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Richard Edgar Fletcher, his mother Eunice Marcella Brown-Fletcher and a son Jason Embry. He was a graduate from Steubenville Big Red High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970 in Korea and was given an honorable discharge. Richard leaves behind his wife Rena Ann Blanchard-Fletcher of 48 years, a son Ricky, daughters Dawn and Keisha, four grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Richard also leaves his brothers and sisters, Gordon, Mark, Lowena, Jackie, Joette, Rayne, Heather, and Chris, and numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. He was passionate about sports, especially football, music, and fishing. He worked for Weirton Steel for 34 years, Timet for 6 years, and was a supervisor for Suehr Cargo Services for roughly 5 years. Visitation will from 10- 11 AM on Wednesday, January 15, and funeral service will immediately follow at 11 AM at Vinson Mortuary, 711 North Fifth Street, Steubenville, OH.
