Rexford’s Obituary Rexford Eugene Conroy, 73, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away Tuesday January 14, 2020 at his home. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Rex was born April 1, 1946 in Leavenworth, KS, the son of Rexford Howard and Mary Jane (Robertson) Conroy. He was an Eagle Scout. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Combat Veteran. As a younger man he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a hard working family man who always put the needs of his family first. He was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Conroy in 2016. He was also preceded in death by his sister Barbara Willard. Survivors include; his wife, Mary Patricia (Norris) Conroy, of the home; one son, Bob (Theresa) Conroy, Tonganoxie; one daughter, Tammy Bartels, Tonganoxie; one son in law, Robert Bartels, Tonganoxie; father in law, Thomas J. Norris, Tonganoxie; and 7 grandchildren, Alexandria Marie (Lee) Supple, Patricia Joy Conroy (Dorian Barnes), William Joseph Bartels, Robert Alexander Conroy, Michael Carter Conroy. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Visiting Nurses; or, Lawrence Palliative Care. Read More
