Rebecca’s Obituary Obituary Rebecca Burgoon Rebecca “Becky” Burgoon, born in Wayne, West Virginia on November 24, 1935, entered Heaven’s gates on January 1, 2020 in Blackfoot, Idaho. A loving mother and homemaker, Becky was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She enjoyed world travel, singling and music. As a young mother in the 1960’s in Reseda, California she worked night-shift as an electrical assembler. In the 1970’s and 80’s she and her husband Pete owned several restaurants in Phoenix, where she worked as assistant manager and hostess. Becky was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, John Robert “Pete” Burgoon. She was also predeceased by her son John Robert Peter Burgoon Jr, and her parents Calvary Ross and Ethel (Adkins) Ross of Wayne West Virginia, and six brothers Emmett, Thomas, Harry, James, Calvary Jr. and Taylor. Becky is survived by her sons Charles and wife Bonnie (Dixon) Burgoon, Kelly Burgoon, daughter Debbie Burgoon, daughter-in-law Terry Parsons. She also had nine grandchildren, Jarrott, Zachary, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Jessica, Rebecca, Jenna, April, James. She had sixteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her daughter, Debbie lovingly cared for her in the last year of her life in Pocatello, Idaho. Her son Kelly also provided assistance with her care in recent years while living in her home in Sun City, Arizona. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Becky their greatest and warmest gratitude. She will be laid to rest in West Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona next to her husband Pete.
