Polly-Anna M. (Jacques) Nunes, 85, of North Dartmouth, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020, at St. Luke’s Hospital, in New Bedford, after a period of declining health. She was the longtime companion of the late Anthony Figuenick. Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Joseph A. and Cecile I. (Roy) Jacques, she lived most of her life in Dartmouth. Polly-Anna was a member of the ILGWU and worked in the Garment Industry at various manufacturers for many years. She enjoyed ceramics, crafts and gardening but mostly loved her dogs, especially her beloved Igor. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; her longtime neighbors, Eva and Charles Arruda of North Dartmouth; and dear friends, Robin Figuenick of Fairhaven and Ethel Leidhold of Florida. A graveside service will be held Friday, January 31, 2020, at 10am, in the South Dartmouth Cemetery.
