PAUL EDWARD PEAK, 82 years of age of Norton, VA, formerly of Buchanan County, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020, at the Pikeville Medical Center following an extended illness. Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Wilbert J. and Emma E. (Kraft) Peak. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired Coal Miner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean (Sturgill) Peak February 12, 2002, and several brothers… and sisters. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Mike Smith-Peak of Norton, VA, Ruby Lynn (Rick) Barton of Vansant, VA, Debbie Peak, Dayton, OH, Charles Smith of Florida, Kira Smith of St. Louis, MO; Step-Son: John Victor Peak of Michigan; and Granddaughter: Eden Barton of Vansant, VA. Funeral Services for PAUL EDWARD PEAK will be conducted Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Winters officiating with burial to follow in the Mudlick Cemetery, Harman, VA. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
