Litz (nee Carrigan) age 73, of Croydon PA, passed away at home surrounded her loving family on Monday, January 13, 2020. She was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Dorothea Carrigan Sr., born on November 27, 1946, in Philadelphia PA. Pat met her date, Charles Litz, on a creeper in a friend’s garage in 1967. Pat and Chas were married in October of 1969. Pat went on to spend the 1970’s pregnant with their 5 daughters (yes, no boys). Stephanie (Richard) Rosenblatt, Tricia Litz, Meg (the late Mark) Rodriguez, Maureen Glasson, and Erin Marie (Don Zeltner). Pat was fluent in sarcasm, enjoyed a good laugh, a slot machine, a “scratchy” lottery ticket, and above all, the submarine races with her date. Pat lived a happy life filled with many friends and adventures. She loved vacations with her date, her brother, Joseph Carrigan, Jr., and his late wife Bunny, family trips to the mountains with Betty and the late Dave Crawford, trips to Big Bass Lake with George and the late Pat Zehner. During their 50 years together, Pat and Chas were very fortunate to be best friends and watch their family grow. Pat was blessed to be the “mom mom” of 8 grandchildren, Devan, Nate, Andrew, Hannah, Brighid, Emily, Monica, Morgan and 1 great-grandchild, Ariel Rose. Pat loved her family and their traditions, weekly Sunday dinners, Christmas homemade Pollyanna’s, hosting adult Christmas parties, Wednesday boat picnics, Easter scavenger hunts, along with many other memorable gatherings. Her family extended to the many kids who would never “hit the street” and her BTSD crew that always made her smile. Pat spent her free time crocheting, listening to books, and chit-chatting with family and friends. She wanted to be remembered as a “kind person who raised a nice family” and for people to remember her “with a smile and a laugh.” Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Gathering Saturday, January 18, 2020, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon PA 19021. With a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM Interment will be over the summer so Pat’s whole family can take part in honoring, remembering and celebrating the life of the Best Date, Mom, Mom Mom, and Friend anyone could ask for in their entire life.
