Dolan, age 94, of Spring Lake Heights passed away on January 21, 2020 at Manor By The Sea. Myles was born in New York City, where he attended Cardinal Hayes High School. He was a graduate of Iona College. He served 3 years in the US Navy on the USS Boxer in the South Pacific. He was assigned to a squadron of SB2C Helldivers where he flew 32 combat missions. As Past President and Trustee of The Friendly Sons of St Patrick of the Jersey Shore he spent countless hours enjoying his Irish Heritage and his fellow members who became lifelong friends. A communicant of St. Catharine’s /St Margaret’s parish he served his faith as a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joanne, née Finland. He leaves behind his 5 children, Patricia McMichael (Larry), Jeannie Wheat (Kevin), Myles (Robin), Christopher, and Lizanne Chisholm (Jose P Sharvin), 11 grandchildren, Matthew (Kathryn), Jeffrey, Justin (Helen),Emma (Stephen),Eamon, Micalah, Myles III, Daniel, Norah, Quinn, Shaye, 3 great grandchildren, Cora Marian, Samuel Charles, and Mason Robert. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 3-6 p.m. at Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street Belmar, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Catharine’s Church, Spring Lake, NJ. Burial with military honors will be private. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the charity of your choice.
