Michael Dugan “Bart” Burns January 02, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Michael Dugan “Bart” Burns Of Highland, formerly of East Chicago, IN Age 47, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020. Michael is survived by his loving children, Michael Dugan Burns Jr. and Madison Gail Burns; dear sister, Joanna Badillo; niece, Jillian Badillo; great nephew, Jaxon Badillo; grandmother, Josephine C. Perez; many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. Burns and Gail Burns (nee Perez); and grandparents, Joseph A. Perez; John and Kathryn Burns. Michael grew up surrounded by many loving and caring families from the St. Mary Church Community in East Chicago. He was a 1991 graduate of Bishop Noll. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Chicago Cubs, Duke and Notre Dame. Michael had a big heart and was very kind. He was a happy spirit that would do anything for anyone. He was known to be a jokester that loved to make people laugh. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Solan Pruzin Funeral Home, 14 Kennedy Ave., (corner of Kennedy and Main St.) Schererville, IN from 2:00 to 8:00 PM with a Celebration Of Life Service at 7:00 PM.
