She was born November 4, 1924 in Kingsbury, a daughter of Henry and Edith Cowett. She worked for many years as a weaver at Abbot Woolen Mill and was a communicant of Our Lady of The Snows Parish, St. Anne’s Catholic Church, both of Dexter. She is survived by a son, Kevin and wife Mary Ellen, both of Yarmouth; a daughter, Brenda Nelson of Corinna; 4 grandchildren, Lynn and husband Alan Soucie, Scott Nelson, Bethany and husband Gary Arsenault, and Megan Vose; 6 great grandchildren, Drew, Dayna, Matthew, Connor, Cooper, and Julian; 1 great great grandson Bryson. Maxine was predeceased by her husband Dana, and a sister Florence Ward. A private burial will take place in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
