Mary’s Obituary MARY LOUISE BLONDELL, 87, of Powers, Oregon passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her children on January 8, 2020 in Tempe, AZ. Mary was born on October 1, 1932 in Winchester Bay, Oregon to Richard and Bertha Magill. She was raised along with her 6 siblings in Eden Valley and Ash Swamp before the family moved to Powers, Oregon. She married Harold (Bud) Blondell of Agness, Oregon who preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her three children; Janie, Alice and Curtis Blondell, her granddaughter Amber and two great grandchildren. Mary was an active member of the Powers community. Her passion was teaching; particularly the elementary grades which she did for over 30 years. After her retirement she missed her students so much that she volunteered to teach pre-school at the Episcopal church which she regularly attended. In her free time Mary loved gardening and building castles with river rock. She was a very special lady who always had a smile on her face and was loved by everyone that knew her. Her children are grateful for all the wonderful memories of their extraordinary mother and will hold a private celebration of life to honor her wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Tempe Mortuary.
