Marty John Stanley June 12 1943 January 4 2020

June 12 1943 January 4 2020
Marty Stanley expired January 4 after a hard fought battle with various ailments exacerbated from a long adventurous and colorful life. Marty grew up in and around Escalon Ca. Marty was the class entertainment when in school carrying his talent throughout his whole life till the laughs stopped at the ripe age of 77. Or was it 79? Marty had a confusing childhood as he was born one year and adopted another so he actually claimed two birthdays settling on the former year of birth in 1943. Marty attended the usual schools as we all do in early life until finally being on our own. Not Marty! He was on his own at an early age after an incident of child abuse resulting in him standing up for himself culminating in an entirely different family dynamic. After the court hearing he had control of the family farm and finances at an early age. This led Marty onto a life of business and adventure locally as he discovered his skills of persuasion in several avenues of life before actually graduating from school. As a well mannered youth he joined the Army serving in the Far East in areas not on the map and denied by our government. On returning home he searched for his true calling which had many different venues. Marty sought multiple life paths in Physical Therapy (his primary occupation), construction, Bodybuilding, Martial Arts, Yacht Dealer, Investment, Real Estate, Private Investor/lending, car detailing, gourmet cook and who knows what else. What allowed Marty to do so much was he never slept for any length of time likely attributed to his days in the jungle while in the military. His instilled discipline from military training made him a task master and perfectionist to any of his chosen ventures. His attention to the finest details of the mechanism of the human body helped countless people recover from injuries thought to be hopeless. His large heart for the human condition carried over into his love of dogs. He was a dog’s best friend treating his companion as a member of the family. To those of us who knew him as a therapist or mentor or advisor or friend, and at times pain in the ass, he will be missed by most and not by others. He really didn’t give a rip about what other people thought as he was simply MARTY. To honor this very talented man please share your monetary gift with a local animal shelter. To assist in knowing more about our very private friend please leave a story or two on this page. Thanks to all who participate in advance.
