Obituary Madge B. (Conwell) Lanham, 81, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away Wednesday morning, January 22, 2020 at her daughter’s home in Arkansas City, KS Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 25th, 2020 at Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. A memorial has been established with the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Madge Bernice was born on September 6, 1938 in Little Blue, Missouri one of 15 children born to Maurice and Mary (Bales) Conwell. She graduated from high school in Springfield, Missouri. She worked for Cessna Aircraft until 1985 and then worked at Rubbermaid until her retirement in 2001. During her retirement years, she enjoyed working in the Graves Land and Property office and helping at Speedway Pizza. You could always find her in the kitchen, or behind the sewing machine. She loved to read and loved her family and friends. Her family includes: 3 daughters, Sandi Graves and husband, Russell of Arkansas City, Valarie Boston of Tulsa, OK, Kathryn Lispy and husband Jon of Lenexa, KS; 4 grandkids, Ryan Rommel and Kelli Rommel both of Arkansas City, Sarah Czech of Missouri and Amy Flippin of Oklahoma, her 5 great-grandchildren, Adalinn, Kaitlinn & Braylinn Curtis of Arkansas City, Easton Bazil of Arkansas City and Ren Flippin of Oklahoma.
