Madaline’s Obituary Madaline Daniel Mann, age 99 of Camden, AR, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 27, 2019. She was born to Joe and Pearl Manning Daniel of Eaglette, AR on April 6, 1920. Madaline, daughter of a Baptist preacher, grew up in Dallas County, AR during the Great Depression. After graduating from Princeton High School, she married Kenneth Edward Mann of Jacinto, AR on February 9, 1941. While her husband served in the United States Army during World War II, Madaline worked as a secretary during the construction of the Shumaker Naval Ammunition Depot. Other employment was Ouachita County Hospital, Camden Furniture Company, and CETA program. She owned and operated Mann’s Antique Shop for over fifty years. Late in life she pursued an interest in painting and won many art awards through the years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Camden, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, and Ouachita County Historical Society. Madaline was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Jerry Paul Mann; husband (55years), Kenneth Mann; son, James Horace Mann; siblings, James Milas Daniel, Margy Daniel, Georgia Belle Jones, William Leo Daniel, Vera Pearl Sisson, Joe Birt Daniel, Cora Vene Williams, and Billy Andrew Daniel. She is survived by her children, Margy Mann and Kenneth (Phyllis) Mann, Jr., all of Camden, AR; four grandchildren, Rodney (Laurie) Cook of Dallas, TX, James David Mann of Hockley, TX, Daniel (Stephanie) Mann of El Dorado, AR and Amanda Mann of Farmington, AR; five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Cole Cook, of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Dominic and Matthew Mann of Baytown, TX, and Josie Claire Mann of El Dorado, AR; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Greenwood Cemetery in Camden, AR. Dwayne Scribner will officiate the service.
