Lucille’s Obituary Mrs. Lucille Williams Pace, age 85, a native of Toxey, AL and a resident of Coffeeville, AL was born February 23, 1934 to the parentage of the late Mr. Hatchett Williams and the late Mrs. Edna Crumbley Williams. She departed this life January 12, 2020 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, Mobile, AL. She was a loyal and dedicated member of Union Baptist Church, Coffeeville, AL. During her lifetime she served as a Sunday School Teacher, President of the Choir, Counselor of the Young Matrons, and most recently, Mother of the Church. Mrs. Pace served as Secretary of the Bladon Springs Missionary Baptist District Association for many years. Her favorite hobby was sewing, which attributed to her 30 years of employment (and retirement from) Vanity Fair Mills as a Supervisor/Trainer. Mrs. Pace was a licensed cosmetologist and served the surrounding area as a much sought after beautician for 40 or more years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Commer Pace; two brothers, J. C. Williams and Earnest Williams; five sisters, Victoria Thornton, Minnie Mae Osborne, Rosie Williams, Edna Osborne, and Louise Coats; and a daughter, Christina Trammell. Wonderful memories will be cherished in the hearts of her loving and devoted family; two sons, Thaddeus Wayne (Margaret “Sweet Pea”) Pace of Atmore, AL; and David (Althea) Pace of Houston, TX; one daughter, Doris (Reginald) Morris of Coffeeville, AL; one sister, Pearline (Tom) Thomas of Sugarland, TX; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, a devoted nephew, Earnest Williams of Coffeeville, AL; a host of friends; a most caring friend, Pearlie Bell of Coffeeville, AL; a good friend and neighbor, Rosie V. Thornton, and other relatives. Viewing Saturday, January 18, 2020, 12 noon until the 1pm service at Union Baptist Church, 1180 Hwy 84, Coffeeville, AL 36524, AL; Rev. Clayton Davis, Jr., pastor and eulogist. Following burial in the church cemetery, the family will receive friends in the dining hall of the church.
