Laura Bower Osborne, 81, of Hamilton, OH and formerly of Blackwater, VA, passed away on January 8, 2020 at Bradford Place in Hamilton following a lengthy illness. She was born in Blackwater on February 28, 1938 to the late Floyd and Zella Johnson Fisher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hamp McPherson, her second husband, Emmitt Osborne, and by four sisters, Pearl Fisher, Bertia Lester, Georgia Osborne and Emma Jean Muncey. She was a member of Osborneā€™s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church and was a member of the Blackwater Volunteer Fire Department. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, and a special great-nephew, Phillip Osborne. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, at Robinette Funeral Home in Blackwater. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Harmon Willis officiating. Burial will follow in the Flag Pond Community Cemetery.
