Keim. 38, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at his home. Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifetime Cream Ridge resident. A 1999 Allentown High School graduate, he was a very talented athlete, playing on the varsity football and baseball teams and was an avid Jets fan. He graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute and was a skilled mechanic who enjoyed working on his cars with the close help of a few peers/coworkers (Dave and Scotty) who mentored him in becoming a vested Union mechanic for the Teamsters Local 35 for Coleman Kia and Subaru in Ewing. Kevin was an avid dog lover, had a big heart and was always there for others in his own quiet way. He adored his nieces (Greta and Tess Keim) like his own children and always went above and beyond for his friends and family. Kevin was a very smart man. People would refer to him as a “walking encyclopedia” full of useful knowledge. He was a strong, soft spoken, good hearted man who fought the good fight with a heart of gold. He was a jokester and a lady’s man in his own cheesy way. He will be missed dearly by many and always remembered by his infectious smile, jokes and laugh. Predeceased by his grandfather, Del Cote and his stepfather, Mark Dekis, Kevin is survived by his mother, Beth A. Dekis; his father, George Keim; his brother, Cote Keim; his nieces, Greta and Tess Keim and his grandmother, Greta Cote as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call Friday, January 10th from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10am at St. John’s Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery followed by a celebration of his life at the Old York Country Club. Print Obituary
