Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday and Friday with family greeting friends Friday from 6:00-8:00 PM Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday February 1, 2020 at the South Colonial Chapel (6934 S. Western) with burial following at Pleasent Valley Cemetery (Wheatland, OK) Karen passed away on January 27, 2020 surrounded by those she loved. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK to her parents Otis & Violet (Hatfield) Evans. Karen graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1969. She married the love of her life Eugene Johnson on May 10, 1980, and the two started a family. Karen worked at Newcastle Gaming Center where she met many friends whom she held dear to her heart. She was a lover of the outdoors. She enjoyed taking annual family camping trips to Turner Falls, where she taught her children and grandchildren how to fish. Keren would travel as much as time allowed, and her favorite destination was undoubtedly Hawaii. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her: Parents; Otis & Violet (Hatfield) Evans Three Brothers: Sonny Man Evans; Kenneth Evans & Dusty Willis Sister: Dottie Parkerson Infant Sister: Barbara Evans And one Granddaughter, Ashley Annanders She leaves behind her loving family: Husband of nearly 40 years: Eugene Johnson Son, Chris Johnson & wife Leesha Watkins; Daughters, Lisa & husband Shelby Tomlin; Tina Davis; Melanie & husband Marc Strawn Three Brothers: Raymond Evans; Donald Evans; Otis Evans & wife Kandie Three Sisters: Debbie Hood; Margie Willis; Wanda Tarver, 13 Grandchildren 6 Great grandchildren As well as many other loving family and close friends.
