Judith A. “Ann” Hearn Jordan September 21, 1935 – January 20, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Judith A. “Ann” Hearn Jordan, 84, of Charles Town, WV, died January 20, 2020, at Jefferson Medical Center in Ranson, WV. Ann was born September 21, 1935, in Columbus, Georgia. She was the youngest of the two children of Floyd M. Hearn and Hilda Rodgers Hearn. She was retired from the federal government, where she worked for the National Park Service (NPS) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Her NPS career took her first to positions at the Mather Training Center in Harpers Ferry and Department of the Interior Headquarters in Washington, DC. She later worked at historical sites El Morro National Monument in western New Mexico and Federal Hall and the Statue of Liberty in New York City. She finished her federal service at USDA’s Eastern Regional Research Center near Philadelphia, PA. Surviving are her sons William (Shari) and Christopher, her beloved grandchildren Travis and Lauren, and her half brother Melvin C. Henry, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Beverly Joyce Hearn Frost, and her stepfather Melvin C. Henry, Sr. Her marriage to William F. Jordan, Sr. ended in divorce. Internment will be private. At her request, there will be no memorial service. Ann’s wish was that everyone support the work of animal welfare organizations such as our local Rescue Me WV Eastern Panhandle Shelter Dogs, Berkeley County Humane Society, and Animal Welfare Society of Jefferson County.
