Joshua Reed Storey, 22, of Orange, Texas, passed away on January 13, 2020, at his home in Orange. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Lewis Jones. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Born in Beaumont, Texas, on July 5, 1997, he was the son of Gregory Todd Storey and Doris Christine (Reed) Kolar. Joshua’s best days were ones spent with his daughter, Kinsley, and his dog, Blue. He loved spending time with his family, whether he was cooking and helping his mom in the kitchen or purposely aggravating them and getting on their nerves. Joshua shared a passion of sports with his father. He was a great baseball player and enjoyed many years growing up on the field. No matter what he was doing he could always be found listening to music, especially his favorite artist Lil Peep. He had a caring and soft heart and was a wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Joshua loved his family and friends dearly and his memory will live on through them. He was preceded in death by his father, Gregory Todd Storey; and his grandparents, Doris and Bill Storey, and Maurine Reed. Joshua is survived by his mother and step-father, Christine and Jeff Kolar; daughter, Kinsley Nichole Storey; grandfather, Bill Reed; great-grandmother, Doris Reed; siblings, Lacey Browning and husband Darius, Lacy Bell and husband Jason, Carly Reeves and husband Anthony, and Dustin Storey; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
