Joseph Howard White, 83, of Fort Payne passed away Monday, January 27, 2020. He was born November 19, 1936 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Lawrence Henry and Kattie Cowan White. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He was retired from Sola Electric and a member of Adamsburg Community Church. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Rayford Bethune officiating. Burial will follow in Adamsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the 2 p.m. time of service. He is survived by his wife, Ellon Hawthorne White; children, Perry White, Jeff White and wife, Linda, Joey White and fiancée, Amanda, Wayne Wood, Kevin Wood and wife, Kelly, Dreama White, and Arlene Smith and husband, Steve; brothers, John White and George White; sister, Wilma Reed; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
