John’s Obituary John Merl Russell, was born October 2, 1943 in Wayne County, Indiana. The son of John H. Russell and Barbara E. Russell. As a teen John Merl went to Test school, he then finished his studies in Vandalia, Ohio. In 1961 he joined the Marines where he received an honorable discharge due to flat feet John Merl then traveled 48 states working as a photographer for Olan Mills, he also worked for B.E. Goodrich Tire in California. John Merl loved to play poker, fish, play pool and being in nature. He had a great sense of humor. John had a beautiful heart and knew his Love and Savior. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. Survivors include his children: Ronald Dale Mullins, Cynthia Lee Rodriguez, Barbara Ann Hines and Brenda Sue Russell; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters: Connie Lee Russell Turner, Sandra Sue Russell Potts and Mary Ann Russell Cagle; several nieces: Sueann Trisler, Cherry Bickel, Crystal Heath, Casandra Holbert, Tina and Pricilla, Brandy, Cassandra Potts McConnell; several nephews: Clayton McCown, James Potts, Jerry Potts, Stevie Potts and Billy Bickel; special great nieces and nephews: Chyenne Trisler, Brienna McCown, Presley Trisler and Clayton McCown Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Connie Turner and great nephew Andrew M.
