JoAnn Nixon, 68 of Ozark, Arkansas died Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Ozark. She was born December 23, 1951 in Newark, New Jersey to Joe and Rose Dianza Pinto. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Pinto. She is survived by husband, William Nixon of Ozark; her father, Joe Pinto of Bunnel, Florida; two daughters, Renee Scattergood of Point Vernon, Australia and Rose Marie Fung of Las Vegas, Nevada; a son, Heath Sanford of Bunnel, Florida; two sisters, Denice Hausen and Evelynn Sanford both of New Jersey; a brother, Joseph Pinto of Florida; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Family will visit with friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, February 3rd at Shaffer Funeral Home, 2315 W. Commercial Street in Ozark. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Heath Sanford officiating and burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Ward, Jerry Cowan, Jessie Easom, Ronnie Bugg, Brian McKenna, and David Whitlock.
