Frist Funeral Home Jerry Watkins, 72, of Clinton, passed away , Saturday, January 11, 2020, at Union Hospital in Clinton. He was born in Clinton, on October 22, 1947 to Clifford and Leatha Mae Slusser Watkins. He was an US Marine and Navy veteran. He was formerly employed as a correctional officer at the Newport Plant. He also worked for Bybee Trucking and for Prairie Farms. He was a member of the Teamster’s Union and a member of the American Legion and VFW. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald; and a sister, Virginia. He is survived by one son, Jerry Watkins of Warsaw, VA; three daughters, Michelle Watkins Smith and Gregory Smith of Newport, PA; Amanda Watkins (Miguel) Atenco of Indianapolis, IN; and Dusty Watkins Domeika and Bradley Domeika of Clinton; sister, Mary Evol of Clinton; 7 grandchildren, Steven Asher, Alana Palmer, Jordan Palmer, Skyler Palmer, Allyia Hillman, Langston and Remington Domeika and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at 1 pm at Frist Funeral Home in Clinton with Celebrant Marta Adubato officiating. Cremation will follow.
