Carol “Janet” Walls of St. James, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the age of 76. Janet was born on September 4, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Ned and Ella Mae (Hoena) Brewer. Miss Carol Janet Brewer was united in marriage to James Walls on November 6, 1960, this union was blessed with two children. Janet worked for many years for Nickerson Farms, as part of the management team; she was also a make-up consultant, Janet retired from Hiland Dairy where she was the office manager. Janet was a very active member of the St. James First Baptist Church; she enjoyed shopping, especially with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, she attended their sporting events, and school functions; the entire family would get together at least once a year for a trip to Branson, where they would spend a few days enjoying the entertainment, and all the fun, and food Branson had to offer. Janet was an incredible cook and she really enjoyed it; she would make Sunday dinners, and cook for every holiday. She made sure holiday would include a special touch, like a bunny cake for Easter, she always knew how to make everything special for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all, she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Janet Walls is survived by her husband of 59 years, James Walls, of the home; children, James Walls, of St. James, MO, and Robin Collier and husband Ron, of Rolla, MO; special niece, Michelle Woodruff, of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, William (Christine) Fisher, Calista (Matthew) Hixenbaugh, and Madison Collier; great-grandchildren, Cloey and Luna Hixenbaugh, and Deegan Fisher; sister, Betty Cornelius, of OH; a host of extended family and friends. In addition to her parents Ned and Ella Mae, she was preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Brewer. Funeral service for Janet will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 1:00PM at the St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Baumann officiating. Internment will be at the Adams Cemetery with Gene Casarotto, Ed Walls, Mike Conway, Ron Collier, Dale Collier, and Dan Collier serving as pallbearers, and Wayne Bledsoe serving as an honorary pallbearer. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Chapel on Friday, December 20, 2019 prior to the service from 11AM until service time.
