James Randall “Randy” Jacoby passed away on January 12, 2020 at his home in Justin. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday, January 27, 2020 in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Randy was born October 25, 1954 in Ranger to the late Walter “Jake” and Dorothy Jacoby. He served a total of 36 years as a police officer with the Ranger Police Department, Rockport Police Department, Aransas Pass Police Department, and finally the Fort Worth Police Department where he served for 28 years. Randy honorably retired from the Fort Worth Police Department in March 2011. He enjoyed traveling to National Parks, his favorite being Yellowstone. Randy also enjoyed photography, watching baseball, spending time with his grandchildren, and making others laugh. Randy is preceded in death by his parents; his mother-in-law, Anne Lester; and his beloved dogs, Bart and Buzz. Randy is survived by wife, Rene Jacoby; three daughters, Cori Jacoby, Ashley and Samantha McCasland; son, Jason McCasland; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Marsha Bartlett; numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Bruce Southey. hide
