Forney and the late Nonie Bell Forney,was born in Sparta Ga.on April 2,1945. and sometime later relocated to Chester Pa. James was educated in the Chester Upland School District. He married Yolanda Williams, and from this union they raised five children. James enjoyed fishing, hunting, “Winstons”,Pepsi coffee and playing cards.Pop worked for Citisteel for a great portion of his life as a steel worker. James departed this life on January 14,2020. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory three sons, James Forney Jr, Mandume Forney and Mustafa Forney; four daughters Lisa Anderson, Yolanda Forney Jr, Bianca Forney-Hardy and Samiyah Forney; two brothers, Johnie Forney and Emitt Forney and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. James was preceded in death by his wife, mother, father, and three brothers. Dad We’ll always remember that special smile, that caring heart, that warm embrace, you always gave us. You being there for mom and us, through good and bad times, no matter what they’ll never be another one to replace you in our hearts, and the love we will always have for you.
