Jackie Raye (Hansel) Wade 73, was born in Berea, Ky raised in Brooklyn, Indiana then made her home in Bloomington as a young woman, beginning her life as the person she loved most, becoming a momma and having her own children. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Hansel of North Vernon, In; and her sister Vicki Lynn Anderson of Dolan, In; three husbands, Winfred Meadows; John Coy and Stanley Weston. Jackie is survived by husband Sanford Wade of Campbellsburg, Ky; and the mom who raised and stood by her, Barbara Hansel of Avon, In; her children, Sharon (Chuck) Aikman of Bloomington; Rick (Dawn) Meadows of Greenwood; Dee (Shannon) Batchelor of Mitchell; her children in marriage, Brian (Holly) Wade of Ohio; Bernie (Daisy) Wade of Kentucky; Michelle (Sonny) Boyce of Ohio; Melissa (Jim) Cody of Ohio; Joy (David) Willoughby of Kentucky. Jackie has been a loving grandmother and great grandmother to many children through her marriages and those God has placed in her life to love. She is survived by a blended family of 12 siblings of which she is the first born Jackie Retired from General Electric Bloomington in 2003 She then went on to Earn her degree in Theology from Liberty University and served as the ALJC Missions America Director Ky district, Beginning the Kentucky Deaf ministry that is now alive and reaching a population who may have never heard about the love of Jesus Christ. She was a member of Highland Village Church before moving to Kentucky and joining Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the living God in Bedford, KY. Jackie is a licensed ALJC Minister and has fulfilled her passion for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to the deaf community for more than 20 years. Because of her passion, those who could not hear the spoken word were able to learn of the goodness of Jesus through the speaking of her anointed hands. Jackie touched many lives through her ministry and will live on in the hearts and hands of her friends and cherished family for many years. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 27, 2020 at The Highland Village Church 515 S. Curry Pike Bloomington. with Rev. Andrew King officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, January 26, 2020, and Monday from 11:00am to service time, both at the Highland Village Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Jackie’s name to the Indiana School for the Deaf, or the IU Health Bloomington Hospice. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
