IRENE KRUCHKO 91, of Cass City, died following a lengthy illness Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Northwood Meadows, Cass City. She was born May 2, 1928 in Auxier, KY the seventh of ten children born to George and Elizabeth (Rice) Music. She married Willie James Goodman November 17, 1945 in Auxier, KY. She later married Stephen Kruchko January 19, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV. A waitress and hostess for 25 years, Irene worked for the Dearborn Inn, Ted’s in Bloomfield Hills, Old Mill and Harvey’s Restaurant in Waterford. She enjoyed golf and working outside with her beautiful flowers. Irene loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; especially during holidays at the farm. She planted flowers and brought comfort to Medilodge residents as a Visiting Angel. Irene was known for being utterly unselfish and always wore a smile. Her favorite quotes were; “Where there’s a will, there’s a way” and “Let your conscience be your guide”. Irene is survived by her children: James (Bonnie) Goodman of Traverse City; Roger (Donna) Goodman of West Olive; Mark (Deborah) Goodman of Indianapolis, IN; Gregory (Susan) Goodman of Harbor Springs; Pamela (John) LaFave of Cass City; 16 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Irene is preceded in death by husbands Willie and Stephen; 9 brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Amy Goodman. Private funeral service held with Merrel Robinson officiating.
