Ida Mae Nelson-Lawyer, 97, of Bloomington went to be with the Lord Monday, January 27, 2020 at Aperion Care in Spencer, Indiana. Born, June 16, 1922 in Monroe County, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Elvira (Parker) Stillions. Ida Mae was a high school graduate of Smithville High School and she was a lifelong member of Sanders Pentecostal Church. She was a loving mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Joe and Cynthia (Christine) Nelson, and Kenny and Victoria (Fox) Nelson, grandchildren, Kim Adams (Billy), Doug Nelson, Melody Hocking (Alan), and Staci Jones, great-grandchildren, Bethany Monsebais (Eric), Kaitlyn Hart (Jason), Christopher Nelson, Layne Nelson, Keaton Neale (Leon), Peyton Baxter, Jordan Polley, Ashley Polley, Sullivan Baxter, Gentry Adams, and Mason Adams, great great-grandchildren, Beckham, Boyd, Jamison, Sophia, Saylem, Cambridge, and Zora. Ida Mae was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Russell Nelson, second husband Arthur Lawyer, and her brothers and sister, John, Richard, Jack, Joe, and Jim Stillions, and Joy Hughes. Visitation will be 11am-2pm Friday, January 31, 2020 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday at The Funeral Chapel.
