Obituary Harold “Bert” Robinson, 71, of Colbert, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Born in Los Angeles, he was a son of the late Harry Merrill Robinson and Eloise Sylvia Bennewate Robinson. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Colbert City Council and was a Liaison for the Colbert Volunteer Fire Department. He was a longtime employee of Ace Hardware of Athens. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Judy Robinson. Survivors include siblings, Gary Robinson (Laurie) of California, Kent Robinson of Colorado and Wendy Linke (John) of California; numerous nieces and nephews; partner, Diane Suddeth and her children, Kelley Timms and Paula Timms of Watkinsville, Roger Suddeth Jr. of Colbert and Cody (Ashley) Suddeth of Comer; grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as “Papa Bert”, Gabi and Jake Timms of Watkinsville and Madison and Mason Suddeth of Comer and numerous fur babies. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. The family will receive friends Friday, January 31, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
