Gwendolyne J. Leitao, age 90, of Trenton, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 in the comfort of her home. Born on August 18, 1929 in Highland Park, Michigan, she was the daughter of Eugene and Margaret Newton. On April 7, 1962 she married Fred Leitao in Trenton, MI. She was employed with Hudson’s & Hadley Arden’s as a Salesperson until retiring. Gwendolyne was a member of the Flat Rock Elks and Trenton Methodist Church. During the holiday season she helped to feed the homeless at church. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jim Newton. She is survived by her husband Fred Leitao; daughters Deborah (Dan) Belinc, Camden Preston and Sandra (Doug) Temple; grandchildren Melissa (Matt) Sorna, Candace Belinc, Casandra Kareus and Fred Temple; great-grandchildren Patrick Sorna and Charlotte Sorna. Friends may visit in the Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in Huron Valley Cemetery, Flat Rock, Michigan.
