Obituary Westfield- Geraldine May Murphy died at the age of 94 at home with family. Gerry was born on July 7, 1925, in Newburyport Massachusetts to the late Jeremiah and Bertha Lynch. Gerry was predeceased by her husband and her son David G. Murphy and David G. Murphy, Jr., her sister Gin Hopkinson and her brothers Bob and Jerry Lynch. Gerry is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Cheryl Metcalf, Sharon Murphy, Pat and David Hilts, and Gail and Andrew Goddard, 9 grandchildren Derek, Doug, Lisa, Geoff, Andy, Courtney, Jimmy, Amanda, and Carolyn, and 9 great-grandchildren. Gerry and David raised their family in Amesbury, MA where Gerry volunteered for Humpty Dumpty Fairs and worked as a teacher’s aide at Amesbury Elementary School. She enjoyed traveling and being with her group of friends and neighbors. The family will have a private interment and memorial ceremony at a future date.
