Obituary Gerald Lee McCormick, 73, of Morgantown, passed away early Thursday morning, January 30, 2020 at his residence after a long illness. He was born June 17, 1946 in Morgantown, WV to the late Dewey Albert and Dorothy Bennlee (Snider) McCormick Survivors include his wife of nearly 47 years, Shirley Ann Wilson McCormick; four children, Michelle Leitter of Florida, and Jerry McCormick, Kay McFadden and Robin Uphold all of Morgantown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings Bonnie Johnson of Ohio and Tammy Phillips of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Barbara Louise Arnold; a granddaughter, Kimberly Ann McCormick; two brothers, Robert Leroy and David William McCormick. Friends may join the Family at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover / Morgantown, on Friday, February 7th from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 3 PM officiated by Pastor Dan Meadows. Following the funeral service, Mr. McCormick’s wishes for cremation will be honored by his family.
