Obituary Garrett Stephen Clark Lewis born September 7, 1985 (34) of Gastonia, NC beloved father, son, brother, family member and friend won his battle against renal/heart disease on Monday December 2, 2019 while at home. Those you knew Garrett, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter Morgan Lewis of the home, his Mother Paula Lewis of the home, Father William Barnes and step daughter Nevaeh Shelton. Brothers and sisters by love Ducky, Stevie, Mark, Brandi, Joy and many others. As well as others he considered to be his second Moms, Pam, Dana, Lee and Kirri. His ex-wife Amanda Shelton Lewis. Aunts, uncles and cousins and many other friends and great neighbors. Garrett loved his daughter more than anything and held on as long as he could for her. He enjoyed working on cars and playing video games with her. He was a Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Tar heels and WWE fan. He had been a roofer before his illness. He attended North Gaston High School and later went to Gaston College. Myrtle Beach, SC was his favorite vacation spot and that is where his ashes will be scattered at a later time. There will be a Memorial/Celebration of life service on Saturday December 14, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church at 3pm. 3412 Redbud Drive, Gastonia, NC conducted by Preacher James Drennan.
