Obituary Penitas – Flora Garcia, 88, entered eternal rest on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Rio Grande Regional in McAllen. She was born on Friday, November 27, 1931 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the daughter of Timoteo Cortez Vela and Guadalupe Agado. She is preceded in death by her parents; a son: Rogelio Garcia; a granddaughter: Janel Ariana Garcia; sister: Otila Cortez; brothers: Gustavo Cortez, Fermin Cortez, Erasmo Cortez, Timoteo Cortez and Samuel Cortez. She is survived by her husband: Rogelio Garcia; children: Irma E. Limon, Aida A. Garcia, Timoteo Garcia, Jorge A. Garcia, Gloria Baker and Rogelio Garcia; brother: Saul Cortez; 18 grandchildren Alfonso Huerta, Raquel Zelene Huerta, Juan Carlos Limon, Rene Osvaldo Estrada, Erasmo Alberto Garza, Jesus Alfredo Garza, Michelle Garza, Roy Issaid Garcia, Angela Garcia, Timoteo Garcia Jr., Guadalupe Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Jorge Antonio Garcia Jr., Christopher Robin Garcia, Raziel Santos Garcia, Vincent Lee Garcia, Amanda Jean Wilson and Lexii Wilson. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm Monday, January 13, 2020 at Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. Chapel service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at Rivera Funeral Home of Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
