Obituary On January 27, 2020, our beloved Ernestina “Tina” G. Losoya entered eternal life at home with family by her side at the age of 72 in Alpine, Texas. She was the eldest child born to Ernestina and Eldefonso Garcia in Marfa, Texas on June 9, 1947. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life, Joe Losoya. Tina was devoted to her Catholic faith and a member of the Guadalupana Society, and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. For a short period of time she lived in Presidio, Texas and worked as a clerk for Big Bend Telephone Company and served on the Presidio ISD School Board. She was an assistant manager at a General Store until she had to care for her son whom was in an accident. Within time she returned back to workforce working at The First National Bank, nursing home, Dollar Store and Big Bend Community Action. She was a loyal friend with a kind heart to many and never ignored a stranger. She lived life to the fullest by always being cheerful and compassionate. She loved to travel and played the slot machines at various casinos especially in Las Vegas. She was the biggest supporter and proud of her children. She will be greatly missed by her soulmate Joe and her children whom loved her so dearly, Joe Kenneth, Robert & Cindy Losoya, Dina Jo & Glen Marquez and Kevin & Ruby Losoya. She was a grandmother of 10 children and soon to be a great grandmother of 2. Also, to cherish her memory is her mother, Ernestina and siblings, Elodia Garcia, Poncho & Rosa Garcia, Eddie & Mary Garcia, Elia & Oscar Gonzales and Eva & Michael Arriola. She has rejoiced with her father Eldefonso and infant brother Lalo Garcia. She had numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary service will be recited by the Guadalupanas at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00, Friday, January 31, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace and burial will follow at the Holy Angels Cemetery. Deacon Paul Lister will be the celebrant. Serving as Pallbearers are: Robert Losoya, Kevin Losoya, Glen Marquez, jason Garcia, David Vega, and Darrell Losoya. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home was entrusted with her services.
