Ellen L. Goerss (Vossen), 83, of North Tonawanda, Sunday (January 26, 2020). Mrs. Goerss was Born in North Tonawanda on August 14, 1936 to Albert and Violet (Getty)Vossen. She was the former manager and sales clerk of Mesmer’s Dairy, and the former Matron at the North Tonawanda Police Department. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ellen was predeceased by her husband Dennis W. Goerss who died July 23, 2001. Ellen is survived by her children Debbie (Tom) McIntyre, David (Melody), Dennis A. (Wendy), Daren (Sheila) and Allen (Lori) Goerss, sister of Judy (the late George) Pankow, grandmother of Robbie, Shannon, and Rebecca McIvor, Nicole (Dan) Haroon, Stephanie (Brian) Krempa, Lindsay (Dan Molina) Rapp, Justin (LeAnne) Goerss, Robbie (Stacey), Desiree, Christian, and Caitlyn, Ryan Annunziato, and Hayleigh Goerss, great grandmother of Tristan, Nova, Archer, Evangeline, Aiden, Harmony, Isabella, Alexander, Connor, Lucas, Robbie, Owen, and Violet, also Surviving are many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive North Tonawanda, NY where funeral services will follow at 8 P.M.
