Born November 15, 1927, in Kohala, he was a retired steward from the former Royal Waikoloan, former worker in the Kohala macadamia nut and sugar industry and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call for a wake from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi. Friends may again call from 8:00-9:45 a.m. Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the church; funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial at Halawa Catholic Cemetery with lunch to follow at the Saint Damien Hall. Casual/aloha attire. Flowers are welcome. Survived by wife of 40 years, Sylvia Costa of Kohala; son, Edward (Brenda) Costa of Waimea; daughter, Angela (Keone) Emeliano of Kohala; three grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
