Obituary Retired Police Officer Edgar Lee Willis passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2020, at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife, Joann Willis. He is a Veteran of the United States Army. He joined the Houston Police Department on September 17, 1962, Academy Class #26. During his career with the department, he was assigned to the Patrol Bureau, Narcotics Division, and Southwest Division. Officer Willis retired on January 31, 1977.
