Obituary Dr. Lawrence “Larry” Paul Keegan Dearing, GA – Dr. Lawrence Paul Keegan, 69, entered into rest January 1, 2020. Dr. Keegan, son of the late Gerald Francis Keegan and the late Philomena Lagvanec Keegan was born in Memphis, TN. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry. Dr. Keegan was a captain in the U.S. Army. He practiced dentistry in Mt. Juliet, TN for 13 years before moving to Georgia where he started Serenity Dental Care located in Augusta, GA from which he recently retired. Dr. Keegan loved spending time with his wife, daughters, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed backpacking, gardening, growing mushrooms, bee keeping and all things outdoors. Survivors include his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary Knollman Keegan; daughters, Linda Keegan and Laura Almeter (Nicholas) of Dearing, GA and Rachel Polich (Zachary) of Martinez, GA; brother, Mark Keegan (Dory) of Staunton, VA; sister, Barbara Mead (Philip) of Herndon, VA; and grandchildren, Lawrence Almeter, Michael Almeter, Elizabeth Almeter, Catherine Almeter, and Virginia Almeter. Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Queen of Angels Catholic Church with Father Stephen Lyness as celebrant and Fr. Jacob Almeter as concelebrant. Interment will follow in the Alleluia Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 6 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Queen of Angels Catholic Church with a Rosary Vigil to follow at 6 p.m. Beggs Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is honored to serve the family of Dr. Larry Keegan.
