Dorothy’s Obituary Dorothy Mae Grissom McElroy, 96, of Camden ascended to her Heavenly home Wednesday, January 15 at Silver Oaks Nursing Home. Born May 21,1923, Dorothy was the daughter of Edward E. and Lena Grissom, the fourth of seven children. She was a faithful, long-time member of Elliott Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, JW (Tom) McElroy; daughter, Debbie Mae McElroy; parents and 4 siblings. Survivors include 2 sons: JD (Tommy) McElroy (Maryann) of Smackover and Mitch (Mickey) McElroy (Kathy) of El Dorado; 2 sisters, Earnestine Newberry of Holland, AR and Jean Melton of Camden; sister-in-law, Doris Grissom of Camden, AR; 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to Silver Oaks Nursing Home for the special care given to our beloved mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Elliott Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11AM prior to service. Read More
