Obituary Donna J. Rhodes, 78, of Lewistown, passed away at 4:24 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at her home. Born April 13, 1941, in Danville, she was a daughter of the late William Miller and Christina (McMullen) Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: first husband, Roy Freed; second husband, William Rhodes; daughter, Kimberly Shawver; and siblings, James Miller and Doris Jones. Donna is survived by: daughters, Linda Piper and husband, Timothy, and Suzanne Shoemaker, both of Lewistown; six grandchildren, Joshua Gregg, Madison Shoemaker, Alex Piper and wife, Amanda, Adam Piper and wife, Sunie, Alyson Tracy and husband, Alex, and Sophie Piper; great-grandchildren, Ella Piper and Amelia Tracy; and sisters, Beverly Denius, of Mifflinburg, and Betty Miller, of Lewisburg. She was a graduate of Millerstown High School. Donna was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Lewistown. Later, she attended New Life Church in Burnham. In her earlier years, she worked in the catalog department at Montgomery Ward, and in housekeeping at Lewistown Hospital. Lastly, she was employed by Community Resources for Independence (CRI) as a caregiver. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: New Life Church, 101 N. Beech St., Burnham, PA 17009.
