Donald’s Obituary Donald “Ray” Kirkland, 65, of Amarillo died Tuesday Jan. 21. Services are 11 Am Friday Jan. 24 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Daylon Kirkland. Interment will be at 3 Pm at The Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Donald was born June 7, 1954 in Wellington to Doris and Donald Dean Kirkland. Donald was the type of man that brought the atmosphere to the environment. He was always making people laugh and smile with his sense of humor. Donald had a big heart but was very quick witted with his words. He never met a stranger. Donald was a loving father, a proud grandfather and loving brother. He was with the love of his life, Marsha for 26 years. They married on August 20, 2000. They were married until 2009 when she died. He loved playing guitars and singing with his family. He was a truck driver for over 50 years. He loved driving his truck. Donald is preceded in death by his dad, his wife, one son, Steven Kirkland, and one brother Carl Kirkland. He is survived by his Mother, his daughter Nancy Willis and her husband Danny, one sister, Doris Hewes, Two Brothers; Kenneth Dean and his wife Dixie, and Jimmy Dale and his wife Ricke, one granddaughter, Kylie Hedrick and her husband Josh, one grandson, Nicolas Kirkland, Four great grandchildren, Kenadie, Kimberlie, Steven and, Teagan, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
