Donald Paul Knapp, 88, of Fletcher passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019 at the Elizabeth House. He was a native of Evansville, IN and a resident of Buncombe County for 40 years. He was son of the late Ralph and Mary Knapp. Donald loved to work. He had a cattle farm, owned and operated Sterling Tool and Mold for many years. He also owned Stonebrook Nursery where he did hydroponic gardening. He had a passion for working with wood and creating beautiful furniture. Don is survived by his wife, Barbara Knapp; children, Curt Knapp and wife, Carmen, Alexis Knapp and Paul Knapp and his wife, Jessica; Alexis Knapp and Paul Knapp; grandchildren, Cathryn and Cristen Knapp and great-grandchild, Rayne Knapp. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Donald Paul Knapp please visit our Sympathy Store.
