Donald J. Kurti, age 84, of Elyria, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at The Abbewood. He was born in Cleveland, grew up in Euclid and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for most of his life before moving to Elyria in 2018. He served in the US Army from 1956-1958. Donald worked as a grocery store manager for several local stores including Meyer Goldberg, Fisher Fazios and Rini Rego, retiring in 2001. He was a member of Shepherd of the Ridge Lutheran Church in North Ridgeville and enjoyed going out for coffee with his friends. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jean (nee Wright); children, Judy (John) Martin of North Ridgeville, Donna (Randy) Marsh of LaGrange, Don Kurti of Elyria; grandchildren, Shannon Perry, Greg Marsh, Chloe, Halle and Mason Kurti; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Travis Perry, Madison Marsh and Kayden Stone; brother, Joseph (Lindy) Kurti of Battlecreek, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Sophie (mee Arz) Kurti and brother, James Kurti. Private internment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
