Obituary Dennis Epley, age 59, of Marion, North Carolina, passed away following a brief illness on the evening of Monday, January 13, 2020 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville. His loving family was by his side. The son of the late Lellon and Wilma Jarrett Epley, he was born in McDowell County, North Carolina on April 01, 1960. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Epley. Dennis, who was a devoted and hard worker, drove a tractor trailer for Willey Sanders; and up until he was unable to, he loved to fish and hunt. He is survived by three brothers, Eddie Epley (Pat), Ronald Epley (Sandra) and Archie Epley (Pam); several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. A celebration of Mr. Epley’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Beam Funeral Service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mr. Epley’s memory are asked to consider, Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607 or by visiting www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org.
